Crossroads Dressage and Combined Training Society is Region 3 USDF GMO #0319

Crossroads Dressage and Combined Training Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the sports of Dressage and Combined Training in the Knoxville area. CDCTS hosts schooling shows, clinics, and bi-annual symposiums to further educate members and potential members about dressage and combined training. By becoming a member of Crossroads Dressage and Combined Training Society you automatically become a Group Member (or GMO member) of the United States Dressage Federation, are eligible for reduced fees on clinics, shows, and other events hosted by CDCTS, and will receive a monthly CDCTS newsletter as well as a monthly copy of the USDF "Connection" magazine.

CDCTS encourages all members to attend our monthly meetings and share their thoughts and ideas to make our club even better. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month, so please come out and join us!

If you would like to join Crossroads Dressage and Combined Training Society, our Membership form can be downloaded at the bottom of this page. Or, for more information on joining, please contact our secretary, Melissa Roberts, by phone at (865)376-6540 or by Email

By joining Crossroads Dressage and Combined Training Society, you become a member of a club that is dedicated to promoting the sports of dressage and combined training, as well as general equestrian education in the Knoxville area. You will meet people with the same interest in dressage and eventing, and you will have many opportunities to increase your knowledge through club events and activities. As a member of CDCTS, you receive benefits available only to club members! Such benefits include the following:

  • Members pay reduced entry fees for CDCTS-sponsored schooling shows, clinics, symposiums, and other educational events that CDCTS hosts throughout the year.
  • All members receive a monthly copy of the CDCTS newsletter, "The Crossing", which features information on up-coming events, special articles, classified ads, and much more!
  • In addition, members receive reduced fees on advertising in the CDCTS newsletter.
  • All adult members have the right to vote at CDCTS meetings and make their voice heard.
  • CDCTS puts on an excellent end of the year awards banquet, which all members are invited to attend. The meal is subsidized and offered to members at a greatly reduced cost, and it is an annual event where most of the membership gets together to socialize and have a great time!
  • CDCTS member volunteers are eligible to earn "dressage bucks", which they can put towards any CDCTS-sponsored event such as show fees, clinic fees, or even club merchandise.
  • Monthly meetings, held on the second tuesday of each month, are open to all members, and new faces and fresh ideas are always welcome
In addition to all of these benefits, by becoming a member of Crossroads Dressage and Combined Training Society, you automatically become a USDF Group Member. What does this mean, and how does it affect you? Well here is a list of some of the benefits of becoming a USDF Group Member (as opposed to becoming a USDF Participating Member):
  • By joining CDCTS you also automatically become a Group Member of USDF and receive a USDF Group Member Card.
  • You will receive monthly issues of USDF Connection, USDF's national publication
  • You are eligible to participate in the USDF Rider's Awards, from Training Level to Grand Prix, including the Master's Challenge, Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals.
  • As a USDF Group Member, you are eligible to earn USDF University credit.
  • You are eligible to compete at any USDF Recognized show.
  • Finally, you receive member-discount rates for USDF events.

GMO members do not receive the annual USDF directory nor are they able to participate in Regional Championships or for Horse of the Year awards, but other than that they benefit in every other way that a Participating Member of USDF does...and the membership fees for joining CDCTS are much lower than those to join USDF as a Participating Member!

So...now that you have read about the benefits of joining CDCTS, download our 2008 Membership Form below, and send it in today! We know you will enjoy everything we are planning for the future of our club!
