One of the benefits of membership in Crossroads Dressage and Combined Training Society is our wonderful year-end awards program. For those members who actively show, in either schooling or rated shows, from Jr/Young Riders to Adult Amateurs and even Open competitors, we offer very nice awards to honor your achievements in the show ring. In the past CDCTS has given out cut-glass trophies, plaques, and other personalized awards. In 2004 and 2005 we gave out very nice "functional" awards; embroidered coolers, engraved halters, ariat boot and garment bags, and embroidered directors chairs...all of which were well-received by members. When we say we have a great year-end awards program...we mean it! When you earn an award, we know you will be very happy with it!

Our year-end awards banquet is a special occasion on which we get together to enjoy good food, an educational speaker or silent auction, and the presentation of awards. The banquet is open to anyone who reserves a spot, so come and see all the fun things you've been missing out on if you are not a current CDCTS member!

Don't forget, for the 2008 membership year, all members who wish to be eligible for year end awards must complete a minimum of 4 hours of volunteer work for CDCTS. Please visit the Volunteering page to download a copy of the Volunteer Hour Reporting Log, which must be sent in with your scores by November 30, 2007.

About the Jack Foster Perpetual Trophy

The Jack Foster award was conceived as a memorial by the club in the 1990's. Jack was the husband of a past president of the club, Karen Foster. At one time the club put on 3 or 4 rated shows in Harriman and Jack always volunteered to announce all day long at every one of them. He died suddenly of a heart attack in his mid forties. The award is given each year to the rider with the highest point score from Training level or above, at all the schooling shows. It is a perpetual trophy, and each year a new plaque is added to the base to show the winner of the award for that year. The winner keeps the trophy until the next year, when another plaque is added, and another winner takes the trophy home for the year.
